Wir können uns auf die nächste Saison freuen. Die Geigerin Anne-Sophie Mutter wird in der kommenden Saison gleich zweimal in der Tonhalle auftreten. Im Januar 2009 an der Seite André Prévin, der das Radio Radio-Symphonieorchester dirigieren wird. Dabei spielt Anne-Sophie Mutter nicht nur Mozart, sondern auch das Doppelkonzert - Geige und Kontrabass - von Prévin.Im Mai wird sie mit den Osloer Synphoniker gastieren. Sie spielt Mendelsohn-Bartholdys berühmtes Solokonzert.
Im Februar 2009 erfreut uns der 26-jährige chinesische Pianist Lang Lang bei einem reinen Mendelssohn-Abend erstklassiger Begleitung: Riccardo Chailly mit dem Leipziger Gewandhaus-Orchester.

Homage to Amadeus -- The magic of Mozart in the wonderful scenery of Villa Contarini in Italy for a very special performance played by the multi-Grand Prix winner François-Joël Thiollier and the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, considered one of Italy's greatest orchestras, conducted at the Eighteenth-Century practice by the concertmaster and first violin Piero Toso.
